Now it's time to use the pen tool (in the image above I've already cleared a bit with the pen). On the info box it will now have pixel mesurments in the X: and Y: when you scroll over the image (by the way, I've hidden my layer, character and history palletes up at the top so I have as much free canvas as I can get. At the bit at the bottom where it says "Mouse Coordinates" change the drop-down to pixels and that should be it ready to go. Click on it and you'll get another pop-up. See the little arrow in the circle? Click on that and you'll get a little pop-up that say's "Pallete Options". Now you need to convert it to read the image in pixels (since it's defaulted to work in inches and we need pixels to make the skin). You need to display the information box so to do that go to Window>Show Info. First of all, open your image (I'm using a rather lovely picture of Ban and Genji since it's easy to cut out). Part One: Set Up (if you already know how to use the pen tool to cut out images in photoshop, proceed to Part Two: Painting You don't have to bother with the cursor files unless you want to make custom ones (I don't know how though), the default ones will show even if you don't include them in the zip. Open the base skin and extract the following files: Now you have the base skin, make a folder on your desktop and call it 'skin'. You can download it from (remember that this is a 'classic' winamp skin tutorial, so please select version 2 download!) or if you can't find it there download from here.
